Description
This black and white archival pigment print was from an image of a sailboat captured off Star Island just off the New Hampshire coast. Since the main subject of the image, the sailboat is so comparatively small in this image I used several techniques to draw the viewers attention to it. The subject is framed by the building whose lines direct the viewer to the boat and the intriguing tree sculpture. The frame of the image has been darkened using a subtle vignette while the boat has been highlighted by a slight increase of exposure localized around the boat.
